Eora/Sydney-based alternative-pop artist Darcy Lane hit the ground running in mid-2022 with her first official release, "Spines", a delectably dark pop offering produced by Alex McIntyre (aka Lola Scott). This single received early industry attention from the likes of Triple J and FBi Radio, including regular spins on Triple J and Unearthed.

Following "Spines", Lane released her debut EP, "Heartquakes", a four-track narrative circling around themes of trepidation and uncertainty. The opening track, “Bad Together”, also received an array of positive industry feedback.

Lane capped off the year with the anthemic single “2022 Without You”, produced and mixed by Oscar Sharah. Sparkling with lustrous layers of synths and heartfelt chords, this track holds a myriad of upbeat pop qualities amidst its piquant lyrical content. "2022 Without You" was accompanied by an effervescent music video that premiered on Triple J Unearthed and was added to rotation on MTV and Rage. This track was added to 25+ global Apple Music editorial playlists, including a homepage feature.

Lane has supported a variety of acts on home soil, including DRAX Project, Telenova, Pacific Avenue, Lola Scott, Loretta, and Jordan & Sian Fuller. Boasting a robust live performance featuring top-tier industry musicians like Ryan Sorensen (Mia Rodriguez/Go Jo/Lola Scott) and James Smithers (Go Jo/Oliver Cronin/Caravana Sun), Lane consistently draws a strong audience to her live shows, infusing the venue with vibrant energy to set the stage.

Lane pairs vulnerable and melancholic lyrical themes with energetic pop melodies and production, creating a contrasting and dynamic musical experience. Moving forward, Lane aspires to compose uplifting pop music featuring catchy melodies that bring joy and a sense of validation to individuals as they navigate the intricate emotions associated with relationships and heartbreak.

Lane has received widespread support from various industry outlets including Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, FBi Radio, RAGE, MTV, 2SER, SYN Media, JOY FM, 4ZZZ, KSSU (USA), The Brag/Tone Deaf, The AU Review, Good Call Live, and Conversations About Her (UK).
